Which power should I choose?
Reading power usually increases with age. Use this chart as a starting point:

Yes for mobile phones and reading. For a laptop, which is further away, a slightly lower power (about 0.50 less) is often more comfortable.
Can I walk around wearing reading glasses?
No. Reading glasses make distant things blurry. Wear them for close work and take them off when you look up or walk.
Will wearing reading glasses make my eyes weaker?
No. Needing more reading power with age is natural and is not caused by wearing reading glasses.
Ready-made reading glasses have the same power in both eyes and are for near vision only. If your two eyes need different powers, you have astigmatism, or your vision changes suddenly, please get a full eye test.
