Why doesn't higher water mean better?
Soflens 59 has more water, so many people assume it is more comfortable. But PureVision 2 is made of silicone hydrogel, a material that lets far more oxygen pass through the lens to the eye. More oxygen is healthier for eyes that wear lenses for long hours. Water content is only one part of comfort.
Vision quality
PureVision 2 HD's High Definition Optics are designed to reduce halos and glare, which many wearers notice when driving at night or in low light. Soflens 59 gives clear everyday vision that most people are happy with.
Power range
If you are long-sighted (plus power) or your minus power is above -9.00, PureVision 2 HD is the choice, as Soflens 59 only goes from -0.50 to -9.00 at our store.
Which should you choose?
- Choose Soflens 59 if you want the lowest price, wear lenses for normal hours, and your power is within -0.50 to -9.00. It is a great first monthly lens.
- Choose PureVision 2 HD if you wear lenses 10 or more hours a day, drive at night, have a plus power, or have a power above -9.00.
- Consider Bausch & Lomb Ultra if you spend long hours on screens and both lenses feel dry by evening.

How long does one box last?
Both come in boxes of 6. For both eyes with the same power, one box lasts 3 months.
